Mai Motoki ist eine der besten Freundinnen von Kokoro. Sie geht gemeinsam mit dieser, ihrer Freundin Aki und Kippei in dieselbe Klasse der Highschool.
Sie ist eine relativ lässige, aber abweisende Person, die Kokoro in allem, was sie tut unterstützt und ihr stets zur Seite steht. Mit Kippei versteht sie sich zwar nicht so gut, merkt aber nach einer gewissen Zeit, dass er eventuell doch kein so schlechter Mensch ist, wie sie anfänglich dachte.
