Die Sonnen-Piratenbande ist eine Bande, die von Fisher Tiger gegründet wurde, mittlerweile allerdings aufgelöst ist. Nachdem dieser gestorben war, übernahm Jinbei die Rolle des Kapitäns. Später trennten die Piraten sich in drei Gruppierungen: die Arlong-Bande unter Arlong, die Sonnenpiraten unter Jinbei und die Makro-Piratenbande unter Makro. Ihr Schiff hieß Snapper Head.

Jinbei verließ die Sonnen-Piratenbande und diente zunächst Big Mom, bis er schließlich der Strohhutbande beitrat.
