Aki und eine weitere Mitschülerin, deren Namen man nicht erfährt, sind Aobas beste Freundinnen seit der Mittelschule. Mit Baseball haben beide zwar nichts am Hut, nichtsdestotrotz verstehen sie sich gut mit Aoba. Es passt auch irgendwie zu ihr, dass die beiden eher bodenständige Charaktere sind und sie weitgehend mit den typischen Mädchen-Themen verschonen, mit denen Aoba eh wenig anfangen kann.
