Teres hat sich bei der Erkundung des unterirdischen Komplexes unweit Arville Ghuran angeschlossen, interessiert sich aber weniger dafür, die Geheimnisse dieses Ortes zu ergründen, sondern will mit dem Magier Slayn abrechnen, der sich ebenfalls hier befindet. Einst tötete dieser alle ihre Kameraden und stahl das gerade von ihnen gefundene legendäre Schwert »Stormbringer«.

Teres ist eine stolze Kriegerin, auf der die Schande, als Einzige damals überlebt zu haben, schwer lastet. Ihre gefallenen Freunde zu rächen oder bei dem Versuch zu sterben, stellt jetzt ihren alleinigen verbliebenen Lebensinhalt dar. Über Hoffnungslosigkeit und Kummer kommt sie erst hinweg, als sie sich mit Hyde einlässt, den sie bei ihrer ersten Begegnung noch schroff zurück gewiesen hatte.
