Serafias ist eine Kräuterhexe, die etwas außerhalb der Stadt Arville lebt und sich mit heilenden Tränken und Tinkturen auskennen soll. Hexen sollte man aber bekanntermaßen nicht trauen und auch Serafias bildet da keine Ausnahme. Sie führt Hyde zumindest ordentlich an der Nase herum, indem sie ihn erst nach ihrem verlorenen Zauberstab und dann nach einer wichtigen Ingredienz durch die Gegend schickt, dabei hatte sie das Elixier, welches er so dringend für die Heilung von Mia benötigt, die ganze Zeit griffbereit in der Schublade.

Ihre Hütte entspricht den Erwartungen, die man in die Heimstatt einer Hexe hat und auch sie selbst gibt sich geheimnisvoll und verhüllt, wobei sie noch verhältnismäßig jung zu sein scheint, was aber wiederum auch auf einen Zauber zurückzuführen sein könnte.
