Seit Kindertagen ist sie mit ihrem Klassenkameraden Shiro Naruo befreundet und wie es der Zufall wollte kamen beide in die selbe Klasse. Wenn sich Makotos und Shiros Blicke treffen vergessen sie für einen Moment alles um sich herum. Von ihren Schulfreunden werden sie als »love-birds« bezeichnet.
