Sich selbst bezeichnet sich Klaus als Langweiler und jemanden der ein wenig blass um die Nase ist. Er ist sich sicher nur durch sein absolutes Vertrauen zum Anführer der 7. Einheit der gallischen Miliz, Welkin Gunter, und dessen Art alles eher lockerer zu nehmen, schaffte er es sich anzupassen. Demzufolge kann der ansonsten eher stille und zurückhaltende junge Mann in gewissen Situationen aus sich hinausgehen und absolute Entschlossenheit zeigen.
Klaus hat im Übrigen gute Gründe sich am Kampf zu beteiligen, er kämpft nämlich für eine friedliche Zukunft für sich und seine große Liebe Lynn, einer Darcsen. Diese sieht man aber erst am Ende des Animes für einen kurzen Augenblick.
