Zunächst sind Misuzu und ihre beste Freundin Toshimi noch guter Dinge. Zwar versuchen sie gerade vor den Zombies in der Highschool zu entkommen, schöpfen aber aus ihrer engen Freundschaft Kraft, das alles durchzustehen. Als es ihrer Freundin an den Kragen zu gehen droht, sind die Treueversprechungen bei Misuzu jedoch wie weggeblasen, und sie versucht stattdessen lieber ihre eigene Haut zu retten.
