Seimei Abe ist der talentierteste Onmyōji, der Hohepriester des Yin und Yang, und verfolgt einen philosophisch-exzentrischen Lebensstil, anstatt sich für die profane Welt zu interessieren.

Seine Aufgabe sieht er darin, dämonische Oni, die Menschen besetzen, zu bekämpfen, und Shikigami zu beschwören. Dafür setzt Seimei unter anderem Schutzzeichen, Bannkreise und -flüche auf Talismanen bzw. Amuletten ein. Aufgrund seiner einzigartigen Begabungen ist er in der Lage jede Schwierigkeit, ob Dämon oder Gespenst, zu meistern.
