Misa Hamai ist die Mutter von Len Tsukimori und eine weltberühmte Pianistin. Deshalb ist sie auch nur wenig zu Hause, da sie ständig in Europa auf Tournee ist.

Sie ist sich bewusst, dass ihrem Sohn etwas Wichtiges fehlt, um richtig die Musik lieben und genießen zu können, was sie sehr bedauert. Doch kann sie auch eine Änderung dessen erkennen, seit Len Kahoko kennengelernt hat. Darum lädt Misa Hamai sie auch nicht zu ihrem Benefiz-Konzert ein, bei dem sie zum ersten Mal öffentlich mit ihrem Sohn auftritt, da sie vermutet, dass Len sie selber einladen würde und Kahoko der Grund für seine Veränderung sei. Daran erkennt man, dass sie ihren Sohn zum Teil besser kennt, als er sich selbst.
