Chana ist der kleine Bruder von Payao, einem thailändischen Boxer, der Ichirou Miyata bei dessen Auslandskarriere in Thailand als Sparringspartner hilft. Chana ist ein richtiger Miyata-Fan und feuert ihn so gut es geht an. Er ist ein wenig schüchtern und traut sich erstmal kaum mit Miyata zu reden. Boxen mag er, da ansonsten in seinem Umfeld alle das in Thailand viel bekanntere Muay Thai verehren. Irgendwann möchte er selbst solch ein herausragender Konterboxer wie Miyata werden.
