Futaba und Ouko sind Nanokas Schulfreundinnen, wobei Futaba ihr näher steht, sie war es auch die Ouko und Nanoka einander vorgestellt hat. Sie verbreitet gern Gerüchte und hat noch den verträumten Charakter eines Schulmädchens, nachdem sie zum Beispiel im Zug einen schönen Jungen gesehen hat denkt sie sofort, dass diese Begegnung Schicksal und somit der Beginn einer Romanze sei, nur um später zu erfahren, dass dieser Junge bereits Oukos Freund ist.

Außerdem hat Futaba eine ältere Schwester namens Wakaba.

Im späteren Verlauf der Geschichte scheint Futaba zu ahnen, dass etwas mit Nanoka nicht in Ordnung ist, denkt aber, dass es besser sei sich nicht einzumischen.
