Black Star stammt aus dem Stern-Clan, einer alten Ninjafamilie, und bedient sich daher im Kampf an einer Vielzahl von Ninjatechniken. Ihm zur Seite steht Tsubaki, die ihn als seine Waffe bei den vielen Missgeschicken unter die Arme greift, zum Beispiel wenn seine Techniken fehlschlagen. Da sich Black Star gerne in Szene setzt um möglichst viel Aufmerksamkeit zu erhaschen, nimmt er seine Gegner selten ernst, tritt dieser Fall jedoch ein, ist er ein flinker und gefährlicher Gegner.
