Dadurch, dass ihr Verlobter während eines Streits erschossen wurde, ist sie zu einer wahren Pazifistin geworden. Sie lehnt die Gewalt völlig ab und reist deswegen unbewaffnet mit ihrem Begleiter durch die Welt. Sica ist der Überzeugung, dass - so gefährlich das Reisen auch sein mag - irgendwer damit anfangen muss, der Gewalt ein Ende zu setzen. Daher sieht sie sich in dieser Aufgabe als Vorreiterin.
