Schon seit seiner Kindheit ist Tatsuya mit seiner Nachbarin Tamaki sehr eng befreundet, was an und für sich auch nichts besonderes ist, sieht man davon ab, dass Tamaki die Tochter einer stinkreichen Familie ist, dessen Anwesen das seines Vaters wie eine schäbige Hundehütte aussehen lässt und mit Mühe und Not die Grundstücksmauer des prunkvollen Anwesens überragt. Trotz dieses offensichtlichen Unterschiedes, was die soziale Stellung anbelangt, hat sich an ihrer Freundschaft nichts geändert und ist inzwischen sogar zu wahrer Liebe geworden. Nur hat er bisher noch nicht den Mut aufbringen können ihr das zu gestehen, was sich bei einem gemeinsamen Ausflug zum Sommerfest dank der offensiven Annäherungsversuche seitens Tamakis jedoch ändert und die beiden finden endlich zusammen. Jetzt muss er nur noch Reira, Tamakis große Schwester, überzeugen und dem Glück der Beiden steht nichts mehr im Weg. Das gestaltet sich allerdings anstrengender als er glaubt und Tatsuya muss all seine Energie dafür aufwenden.
