Sämtliche Zugangswege nach Sasanaki sind versperrt und das anhaltende Unwetter verhindert eine zeitliche Beseitigung der verschütteten Straßen, so dass ihm nichts anderes übrig bleibt als mit seiner kleinen Familie, bestehend aus seiner Ehefrau Tomako und Tochter Yuki, die Nacht im kleinen Motel Sasanaki zu verbringen. Was zunächst als kleiner Abstecher beginnt, entwickelt sich aber zum Alptraum als einige der andere Gäste einen merkwürdigen Wesen zum Opfer fallen und von diesem in eine Art Paralyse gebracht werden.
