Als beste Freundin von Nami sieht es Kazumi als ihre Pflicht an, stets ein wachsames Auge auf sie zu haben, was auch bitter nötig ist. Dazu gehört aber ihrer Meinung nach ebenso, dass sie keine Gelegenheit auslässt um über Kenji herzuziehen, denn die höchste Meinung hat sie wahrlich nicht von Namis Freund - obgleich sie sogar manchmal etwas Mitleid mit ihm hat, da sie nur zu gut weiß, dass man es mit Nami nicht immer ganz einfach hat. Nichtsdestotrotz spürt sie auch, dass in der Beziehung von Nami und Kenji so einiges im Argen liegt und versucht trotz allem ihrer Freundin bei deren Problemen so gut es geht beizustehen, schließlich liegt auch Kazumi viel daran, dass Nami glücklich ist. Etwas neidisch ist sie allerdings auch auf ihre Freundin, selbst hätte sie nämlich auch gern einen Freund und kann zudem überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, weshalb ausgerechnet Nami bei ihren Mitschülern derart beliebt ist.
