Immer noch arbeitet Setsu Tag ein Tag aus auf dem Feld, während Minosuke nun als Lampenverkäufer es zu einem gewissen Wohlstand gebracht hat. Besuchen kommt er sie aber trotzdem noch regelmäßig und endlich zeigt auch Setsu Interesse an ihm, so dass sie schließlich zusammen kommen, heiraten und sie zwei Kinder gebärt. Sie übernimmt nun gänzlich die Rolle der treusorgenden Ehefrau und Mutter, steht gänzlich hinter ihrem Gatten und hat das Arbeiten auf dem Feld aufgegeben.
