Woher Kotone ihr unbändiges Talent in Sachen Karate und anderen Kampfsportarten hat, wird einem klar, wenn man Kotones Vater Monjuurou Sawanatsue zu Gesicht bekommt. Der bärtige Hüne ist nicht nur Leiter eines bekannten und erfolgreichen Karate-Dojos, sondern wahrscheinlich selbst Champion in weiß-der-Teufel wievielen Sportarten. Obwohl er solch ein Brocken und Berg von Muskeln ist, wird er in Gegenwart seiner Tochter schwach. Er macht sich ständig Sorgen um seine Kotone und erinnert sie ständig daran, dass sie immer sehr viel Acht auf sich geben soll, damit ihr auch ja nichts passiert.
