Auf einem großen Asteroiden, dem Castle Planet, nähert sich Dune der Erde, um zu vollenden, woran ihn Cure Flower vor fünfzig Jahren hinderte: Die Erde in eine Wüste zu verwandeln und alle Heart Flowers verdorren zu lassen. Aus der Ferne leitet er Professor Sabark an, der bis zu seiner Ankunft dieses Ziel schon vorantreiben soll. Er vermutet im Heart Tree ein Geheimnis, das Cure Flower damals die Stärke verliehen hat, ihn abzuwehren und einen großen Teil seiner Macht zu versiegeln. In ihm wohnt nichts anderes als abgrundtiefer Hass, der sich in seinem Zerstörungsfeldzug seine Bahn bricht.
