Der Vater von Hiroto will eigentlich nur das beste für ihn. Er möchte, dass sein Sohn sein Restaurant nach der Schule weiter leitet und sich somit keiner Gefahr aussetzt, wie zum Beispiel die Fafnerpiloten. Doch seine Intentionen kommen bei seinem Sohn nicht so an, wie er es gerne hätte.

Das ist jedoch auch darauf zurückzuführen, dass er sehr bestimmend über Hiroto ist, der sich nach Selbstständigkeit sehnt. Damit versteht er seinen Sohn überhaupt nicht, und weiß auch in der Situation, als dieser sich in einem Klassenraum einsperrt, auch nichts zu unternehmen.
