Nachdem Hamada, sein ehemaliger Klassenkamerad, ihn darum bittet, sich dem Anfeuerungstrupp anzuschließen, schließt er sich dieser Truppe an, da er ohnehin Zeit hat. Anfangs fühlt er sich aber nicht so wohl, da er keinen aus dem Baseballteam kennt und vor allem wie höflich die Spieler zu ihm sind, verunsichert ihn dann noch mehr. Er gewöhnt sich aber sehr schnell an die ganzen Umstände und unterstützt das Team von der Tribüne aus so gut er kann.
