Kakeru und seinen beiden älteren Brüdern ist nicht entgangen, dass Hikaru seit ihrem Ausflug zum Tokyo Tower bedrückt wirkt, was ganz und gar nicht zu ihr passt. Er stellt daher wilde Theorien an, sie wäre vielleicht von einer Schar Touristen von einem Souvenirstand weggeschubst oder von zwielichtigen Typen belästigt worden, weil sie schließlich so niedlich sei - Er und Masaru, der Nächstältere, haben einen ziemlich großen Beschützerdrang ihrer Schwester gegenüber.
