Tomoko stammt aus Kobe (und spricht gelegentlich Kansai-Dialekt); nach der Scheidung ihrer Eltern zog sie mit ihrer Mutter nach Tokyo. Sie ist eine ausgezeichnete Schülerin und nimmt ihre Pflichten als Klassensprecherin der Klasse 2B ausgesprochen ernst (worüber sich ihre Mitschüler lustig machen, statt es ihr zu danken - insbesondere Okada, Matsumoto und Yoshii meckern ständig an ihr herum, sodass Hiroyuki gelegentlich ein Machtwort sprechen muss).
