Keigo Asano ist ein Klassenkamerad von Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue und Uryuu Ishida. Er ist etwas sehr hyperaktiv und neigt zu sehr emotionalen und übermäßig aufgebauschten Gefühlsäußerungen insbesondere in Bezug auf Ichigo und seine Freundschaft zu ihm. So springt er Ichigo jeden Morgen zur Begrüßung geradezu an, wird aber gnadenlos von ihm abgeschmettert. Keigo scheint eine Vorliebe für Frauen mit großer Oberweite zu haben, da er absolut begeistert von Rangiku Matsumoto ist, doch auch hier stößt seine quirlige Art nur auf geballte Fäuste.
