Ryuuji ist ebenso wie Ranmaru der Sohn einer Yakuzafamilie und nebenbei der selbsternannte Rivale von Ranmaru. Ryuuji ist überaus stolz auf seine Familie und macht sich gerne über Ranmaru lustig, was allerdings damit zusammenhängt, dass Ranmaru mit Kaoru verlobt ist. Seit vielen Jahren schon ist Ryuuji in die taffe Yakuzaschönheit verliebt und neidisch auf Ranmaru und dessen Beziehung zu ihr. Doch auch wenn Ryuuji oftmals den Eindruck macht, selbstverliebt und unbarmherzig zu sein, so hat er doch eine warme Seite und weiß, ab wann man seine Rivalen retten muss.
