Suzuko hat in Tokyo studiert und wurde dann Lehrerin an einer Privatschule - nach nunmehr 8 Jahren kehrt sie erstmals wieder in ihre Heimatstadt Rin’in zurück. Den Grund ihrer Rückkehr stellt ihre Mutter dar, die ein Opfer des Rinkan Club wurde, als Suzuko noch ein Kind war. Dieser begeht regelmäßig die barbarische Tradition einer Massenvergewaltigung um einen bösen Geist zu besänftigen. Diesen Brauch gedenkt Suzuko zu beenden und hat mit ihrer Schülerin Motoko auch schon das aktuelle Oberhaupt des Clubs ausgemacht. Sie ist fest entschlossen, unbeugsam und wähnt sich selbst in Sicherheit, da nur jemand für das Ritual in Frage kommt, wenn ein Blutsverwandter oder der Lebenspartner dessen Namen auf ein spezielles Stück Papier schreibt. Motoko macht jedoch ihren Freund in Tokyo ausfindig und überlistet ihn, so dass er arglos in dem Glauben, es handele sich um einen Talisman, ihren Namen schreibt, und sie deswegen nun nach den Gesetzen der Stadt hergenommen werden kann um Iwanage-himes Zorn zu besänftigen, ein Gesetz, dem sich kein Ortsansässiger widersetzt und sie deshalb auch nicht mit Hilfe rechnen kann.
