Als Soushi mit seiner damaligen Herrin eine Party besuchte, begegnete er Ayame, die er als weiteres Trittbett auf seinem Weg in die Freiheit benutzen wollte, da er in ihr einen starken Gerechtigkeitssinn spürte und gleichfalls das Gefühl hatte, dass sie jemand ist, der sich einmischt, wenn etwas gegen ihre Moralvorstellungen verstößt. Er schilderte ihr seine Situation um ihr Mitleid zu gewinnen, seine Verführungskünste prallten jedoch an ihr ab, stattdessen holte ihn Ayame als Diener für ihren Sohn Kagerou in ihr Haus. Soushis Kalkulation sah vor, dies bis zu seinem zwanzigsten Lebensjahr zu erdulden um sich dann endlich von allen lossagen zu können.
