Ein Leben auf dem Schlachtfeld zu führen; dies ist kein einfaches Los, denn man muss ständig um sein Leben bangen und hat kein Moment der Ruhe. Ein solches Leben führt Gyaranko, der förmlich auf dem Schlachtfeld geboren ist und dieses bis heute nicht verlassen hat. Zwar ist er als überaus fähiger Kämpfer bekannt, aber auch er ist nach all den Jahren nicht mehr so hoch motiviert wie er einst war. Er glaubte immer, dass der Krieg ein Teil seines Lebens sei, doch inzwischen fühlt er sich alt; er ist müde und will diesen Lebensabschnitt endlich hinter sich lassen. Daisuke Jigen kennt und schätzt diesen Mann sehr, denn er war derjenige, der ihn erst zu einem solch guten Schützen machte.
