Überzeugt davon, dass Takao Kiyosato durch eine verpatzte Operation am Tod seines Vaters schuldig ist, und mit dem Willen diese Sache aufzuklären, kommt es Shuuji gerade recht, in dem Krankenhaus als Arzt angestellt worden zu sein, in dem Kiyosato der Vizedirektor ist. Doch als er erfährt, dass ausgerechnet seine erste Liebe und Tutorin im Medizinstudium Misako jenen Takao Kiyosato geheiratet hat, fasst er den Entschluss sich an ihm zu rächen.

Shuujis Nachforschungen, irgendwelche belastenden Beweise zu finden für die man Kiyosato belangen könnte laufen allerdings ins Leere. So gerät er an die Krankenschwester Haruna Wakoto, die das Passwort für viele verschlüsselte Daten und Krankenakten kennt, von denen er sich wichtige Erkenntnisse verspricht.
Aber nachdem er sie gefügig gemacht hat, soll sich herausstellen, dass auch diese Daten ihm nicht weiterhelfen und so zwingt er Misako selbst und seine Kollegin Aki Katsuyama dazu ihm bei seinem Plan zu helfen, Takao Kiyosato zu einem Geständnis zu bewegen.
