Seit einem tragischen Unfall liegt Yumiko im Koma und wirklich viel Hoffnung, dass sie noch aufwachen könnte, gibt es nicht. Traurig an der Gesamtsituation ist noch mehr, dass ihre Eltern, die im Ausland arbeiten, nicht einmal zu ihr ins Krankenhaus kommen und sie im Grund genommen ganz alleine lassen. Wäre da nicht ihre Freundin Rie, die ständig an ihrer Seite verweilt, hätte sie niemanden, der auf ihr Erwachen warten würde.
