Ken ist ein regelmäßiger Gast im Café Casablanca von Misono Fujii. Mit dem älteren Mann fungiert er hier vor allem als Vorkoster ihrer neuesten Kreationen. Dass die beiden mit ihr sehr gut befreundet sind, sieht man dann vor allem daran, dass sie ihr trotzdem weiterhelfen, obwohl diese Kostproben zuweilen einfach nur schrecklich sind und ihre Gesichter kreidebleich werden. Es ist schon eher so als ob Ken das Ganze als eine Art Herausforderung betrachtet und entsprechend auch auftritt, wenn es mal wieder soweit ist. Selber betreibt Ken im Übrigen einen Blumenladen in Kure.
