Cayenne Ro U war einer der führenden Wissenschaftler von Mondenkind und einer der Hauptbeteiligten an der Entwicklung der iDOLs. Er wurde der Adoptivvater von Chihaya und Azusa, welche Teil seiner Forschung mit den iDOLs wurden. Er und seine Frau, Teru Ro U, hatten mit der Zeit unterschiedliche Auffassungen, was die Entwicklung ihrer Forschung anging, ein Zwist, der mit dem Ereignis »Dawn over Purple Moon« ein gravierendes Ende nahm.
