Als Ohana vom Chefredakteur des Hotelführers erfährt, wer für den Artikel mit der schlechten Kritik am Kissuisou verantwortlich ist, ist die Überraschung für sie riesig. Niemand geringeres als ihre eigene Mutter war es nämlich, die mittlerweile wieder in Tokyo ist und ihren Freund längst fallen gelassen hat. Mit einer gehörigen Anzahl an Schildern ausgestattet, protestiert sie nun vor dem Gebäude, in dem sie arbeitet. Auf die Aktion ihrer Tochter wird sie von diesem Kollegen hingewiesen, der Ohana sofort erkannt hat und etwas perplex wirkt, hingegen kommt das für ihre Mutter alles andere als überraschend, dafür kennt sie sie einfach nur allzu gut.
