Seitdem arbeitet er als Mädchen für alles in ihrer Detektei, kocht für sie und spielt den Botenjungen. Vernachlässigt er seine Pflichten, bekommt Anneroses Stimme einen gefährlichen Tonfall und wenn sie wirklich sauer sein sollte, blüht ihm eine körperliche Bestrafung, die einem Untoten angemessen ist – dann finden sich sein Kopf und sein Körper nämlich vorübergehend an unterschiedlichen Stellen wieder. Obwohl er weiß, dass er sie nicht provozieren sollte, kann Rikurou nicht verleugnen, dass er die Hexe mehr als alles andere körperlich begehrt – da es auch zu seinen Pflichten gehört, sie morgens zu wecken und sie einen sehr festen Schlaf hat, kann er eines Tages weder seine Finger noch ein anderes Körperteil mehr im Zaum halten...
