Man kann Wakamatsu als den einzigen bezeichnen, der sich wirklich an der Mentalität von Daiki Aomine stört. Ihm will es so gar nicht gefallen, dass Aomine ständig das Training auslässt und zu Spielen zu spät kommt, was er auch immer wortlaut zum Ausdruck bringt. Er ist nämlich ein Mensch, der sehr schnell sehr laut werden kann, was dann nicht zwingend angenehm ist für die anderen Spieler.
