Lady Oyakata ist die Ziehmutter von Ruby und genau wie sie eine Hexe. Sie lebt in der Menschenwelt auf einem Hügel, mitten in einem Sonnenblumenfeld und findet dort auch Ruby, kurz nachdem diese ihre Eltern bei einem Autounfall verloren hatte. Bei ihrer Erziehung bringt sie Ruby ihren tiefen Hass auf die Menschheit bei und benutzt sie für ihren Racheplan, bei dem sie die nahegelegene Stadt ausradieren will. Bevor der Plan umgesetzt werden kann, stirbt Oyakata allerdings, wird aber von Ruby in deren Vorstellung am Leben gehalten.
