Varda ist eine Dienerin des „Book of the Dead“ und hilft somit Aiba auf seiner Reise. Nach ihrem ersten Kampf gegen Aguri, bei dem das »Book of the Dead« in Aiba stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wird, bleibt sie als einzige der Dienerinnen sichtbar. Im Kampf hat sie eine Position inne, die Aiba sagt, wo er den Gegner treffen muss, um zu gewinnen.
Sie findet Aiba zu Beginn mehr als unbrauchbar in seiner Rolle als Necrodiver, was sie auch laufend zum Ausdruck bringt. Dennoch entwickelt sich etwas aus der anfänglichen Zweckgemeinschaft.
