Masashi wirkt bereits auf den ersten Blick wie ein sympathischer und normaler junger Oberschüler. Er ist gut mit Yamato befreundet und außerdem der derzeitige Freund von Aiko. Obwohl Freund schon etwas übertrieben ausgedrückt wäre, denn Aiko hat noch immer Gefühle für Yamato und geht mit Masashi eher eine sexuelle Beziehung ein. Dieser ist ist jedoch ganz verrückt nach Aiko und gesteht ihr aus diesem Grund auch immer wieder seine Liebe. Auch wenn viele in seiner Schule Mei für ein seltsames Mädchen halten, so ist Masashi recht neutral und findet Mei an sich ganz sympathisch. Er ist eine Niete im Bowling und meist der Grund dafür wieso sein Team, welches meist aus Aiko und ihm besteht, verliert.
