Kalbo ist ein Rivale von Balsa. Vor drei Jahren, als Balsa einen ihrer Schützlinge von einem Sklavenhändler befreite, war er der Leibwächter für die andere Seite und verlor im Kampf gegen Balsa. Seitdem jagt er ihr wie ein wahnsinniger nach, um seine Ehre wiederherzustellen und sich in einem Kampf an ihr zu rächen. Seine Chance sieht er, als er Balsa auf dem Sonnenwendfest im Kaiserreich Yogo entdeckt.
