Sie und Yuu lernen sich kennen, als Ayumi dem Zug hinterherläuft, in dem Yuu sitzt, weil sie ihre Tasche dort vergessen hat. Ayumi gehört zu den Menschen, von denen man sprichwörtlich sagt, dass sie sogar ihren eigenen Kopf vergessen könnten, wenn er nicht fest auf ihrem Hals säße. Dazu ist sie auch noch ein wenig tollpatschig, nimmt aber trotzdem am Variable Geo-Turnier teil. Sie vertritt dabei das Restaurant Ekibasha.
Ihr erstes Match gegen Diane Ryan kann sie sogar für sich entscheiden, weil sie im Ring ungeahnte Kräfte freisetzt. Auch wenn sie kein spezielles Training durchlaufen hat, kann sie mit nahezu jedem auf Augenhöhe kämpfen, weil sie ein großes Talent dafür aufweist, die Techniken anderer nachzuahmen.
