Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Kellnerin ist Marika Katou noch Mitglied des Yachtclubs der Hakuoh Academy. In diesem sind Mädchen sämtlicher Jahrgänge vertreten, die von Präsidentin Jenny Dolittle angeführt werden. Sie sind mit allerlei High-Tech-Kram ausgestattet, wie etwa Flugsimulatoren. Besondere Ereignisse im Club sind aber allen voran die »Segel-Touren« mit der Odette II, dem Trainingsschiff des Clubs, das aufgrund ihres Solar-Antriebs noch am ehesten mit altertümlichen Schiffen auf dem Meer zu vergleichen ist.
