Bontenmaru ist die kleinwüchsige Begleiterin der Missionarin Louise Fróis. Sie ist sehr wichtigtuerisch und ständig am herumschreien. Ihren Angriffen gibt sie gerne lange, völlig unsinnige Namen und nennt sich selbst Mokushiroku no Beast (黙示録のビースト Apokalyptische Bestie). Letzteres ist ein Verweis auf die biblische Offenbarung des Johannes und somit ein Hinweis auf ihre Verbindung zum Christentum.
