Sie arbeitet im Tierbedarfs-Laden in dem Papa Yamada des Öfteren einkauft. Sie hat immer gute Laune und überredet Herrn Yamada sehr oft dazu, sehr viel Katzenspielzeug zu kaufen.

In der zweiten Staffel erfahren wir, dass sie Katzen über alles liebt, sie aber wegen ihrem Bruder, der Angst vor Katzen hat, keine eigene haben kann. Als sie Chi im Park trifft, ist sie außer sich vor Freude und denkt, dass ihr Treffen eine schicksalhafte Fügung ist. Prompt nimmt sie Chi für sich in Beschlag und nennt sie Minya (abgeleitet vom Wort Nyaa [にゃあ], dem japanischen Wort für „Miau“). Als sie später jedoch erfährt, dass die Katze den Yamadas gehört, nimmt sie von ihrer Minya Abschied. Die Yamadas erlauben ihr jedoch, mit Chi zu spielen, sooft sie will, wovon sie sehr oft und lange Gebrauch macht.
