Auch der zweite Versuch, seinen Beast Mode zu aktivieren, bringt für Ira nicht den gewünschten Sieg gegen Pretty Cure. Das Jikochu-Herz, angefüllt mit den dunklen Gedanken der Königin des Karuta, übernimmt nämlich die Kontrolle über diese Form und anstatt die Gegnerinnen direkt zu attackieren, wird der Kampf in einer überdimensionalen Karuta-Partie ausgefochten. Ira kann dabei noch nicht mal die Bewegungen des Beast Mode kontrollieren, obwohl er sich im Zentrum des Monsters befindet. Dessen Instinkt, auf die vorgelesenen Karuta-Karten zu reagieren, ist stärker als Iras Befehlsgewalt über seine eigene Verwandlung.
