Nicht jeder hat das große Potential in Kenshirou erkannt, doch diejenigen, die sich dessen im Klaren waren, wussten, dass er später eine sehr wichtige Rolle übernehmen wird. Auch war bekannt, dass er später einmal ein sehr starker Kämpfer werden würde. Dies konnte er unter Beweis stellen, als er gegen mehrere Männer von Souther kämpfte. Die ersten neun konnte er schlagen und erst gegen den zehnten Kämpfer Shuu hatte er keine Chance.
