Dieser Mann ist einer der drei Personen die auf die Ankunft Patty Lowells im Lowell-Anwesen warten. Aufgrund seiner beruflichen Spezialisierung als Anwalt, wiegt sich dieser Herr auf der sicheren Seite, als die eigentliche Patty Lowell den Saal betritt. Als er realisiert dass sich seine Konkurrentin nicht unterdrücken lässt und ihn in seiner Auffassung widerlegt, zeigt sich seine wahre Gestalt. Der eigentliche Bekannte ist nämlich ursprünglich ein Dämon welcher, so wie alle seiner Artgenossen, hinter dem Erbe der Lowell-Familie her ist. Er wird kurzerhand von Dante getötet.
