Die Mutter von Takao ist von ihrem Mann geschieden. Daher muss sich die temperamentvolle und launische Frau alleine um ihre beiden Söhne kümmern. Oft muss Takao ihre Aufgaben, wie beispielsweise das Kochen, übernehmen, da sie bis in den späten Abend unterwegs oder bei einem ihrer jüngeren Liebhaber ist. Trotz allem liebt sie ihre beiden Söhne sehr. Der bevorstehende Auszug ihres älteren Sohnes missfällt ihr daher auch. Sie kann sich nur schwer von einem ihrer beiden Kinder trennen.
