Haiji ist Hazukis nur puppengroßer Schutzgeist, der sich bevorzugt fliegend fortbewegt: Ein tüchtiger Helfer im Haushalt und tapferer Beschützer. Allerdings kann Haiji auch ziemlich vorlaut und frech sein. Großen Spaß macht es ihr als Punkterichter aufzutreten, wenn sich ihre Herrin mal wieder mit Hikaru in die Wolle bekommt. Sie kann sich zur Tarnung in eine schwarze Katze verwandeln.

Haiji wurde ursprünglich von Shizuru erschaffen und diente ihr in Gestalt der schwarzen Katze.
