Natsu ist noch neu an der Schule, verliebt sich wie beinahe alle aber auf Anhieb in die Schönheit von Fuuka Saitou. Dadurch lernt sie auch Rin kennen, als sie diese nach dem Namen des Mädchens fragt, und sie freunden sich anschließend beide an. Eigentlich ist Natsu ein recht zurückhaltendes, liebenswürdiges Mädchen, alleine das zum Teil schamlose Verhalten seitens Rin führt bei ihr regelmäßig zu verbalen Ausbrüchen, die es in sich haben.
